The museum collection Metal began to form in 1975 (Icon. St. Nicholas The Wonderworker. Copper, casting. Russian Empire, 19th century). The structure of the museum’s collection consists of arts and crafts of different confessions, made of different metals: cult utensils, cast copper and bronze icons, crosses, foldings and it’s fragments; bells and chimes; easel sculpture and small sculptures; boards for engravings; silver jewelry. Part of the museum’s collection consists of items of folk life (axes, weights, scissors, keys, locks, etc.), which were used in folk and family calendar-agrarian rituals. The most valuable museum objects in the museum’s collection are: As of 01.01.2025, the museum collection Metal consists of 1456 objects of the main museum fund and 265 objects of scientific and auxiliary materials’ fund.
